We have staff available at our stations that can help you buy a ticket when our ticket offices are open. We aim to ensure you can always purchase a ticket from our ticket machines or ticket offices at the station, however during peak times you may be expected to queue. The opening hours of our ticket offices are displayed at each station, but you can also take a look at our Station Information page for more details.

In order to avoid queues, we encourage you to order a c2c Smartcard and buy your tickets online. You can load your tickets onto your Smartcard at the ticket machine and gates, without needing to queue for the office. You can also get your ticket put onto a Smartcard at the ticket office, but we advise you register it online for all the benefits. Please note that some tickets such as GroupSave tickets and our online promotional offers cannot be currently be purchased from a ticket machine. For more information you can visit our Smartcard page.

If you are unclear on what best ticket to purchase or need any further assistance with your c2c train travel, our friendly ticket office staff are more than happy to help with questions and queries you may have.

You can also buy tickets via our website or app, as well as collecting them from any ticket machine using the same debit/credit card used to buy the ticket. If you’d rather receive your tickets via post, then we can send them out to you by either first-class or recorded delivery. Please note to allow five working days from order to be delivered, and that recorded delivery may incur a further charge.

We accept payment by cash, debit or credit card, or alternatively by National Rail Travel Vouchers when the station ticket office is open. If you have any problems with our ticket machines, please speak to a member of staff or contact our Customer Relations team for help on 0345 744 4422.
